1920s Churn Dash

This Antique Churn Dash quilt is seventy-two by sixty-four inches and comes with documented provenance. Made around the nineteen-twenties by Eva Addron Carrol (Mrs. Wylie E. Barker) of Dublin, Erath County, Texas, the quilt was pieced together from the outgrown dresses of her daughter, Vera Lucille Barker. Eva was a quiet, mathematical, and self-taught seamstress who loved quilting. Quilt is fully hand stitched with old, old fabrics, the overall quilt remains in great condition. It is a rare piece of textile history.

Most of the quilts we’re selling are pre-loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on trips, slept on underneath the stars, and lived along before arriving at our doorstep.
